I'm in Love!

Okay, so don't get me wrong - I've been in love with Bobby for 10 years now and nothing has changing there. But I'm now in love with something new as well: My mixer!

I had a KichenAid Mixer in Phoenix, but it was actually Annika's so I didn't pack it up with me when we moved (as much as I wanted to). And I've been pining ever since. You know I love to bake, and it's hard enough in a tiny kitchen, but even more so with a $8 hand mixer. But I finally caved and bought my very own, which of course had to be RED!

I saved up money from working in the tech office at school and waited for a good sale and we picked it up last night. On the way I was singing a little song about how "I get a mixer!" and Bobby joined in with his own version of "I get some cookies!" And so of course as soon as we got home I whipped up a batch of my famous Oatmeal Choco-chip Cookie recipe!

And of course there went my diet since all 4 dozen of my cookies seem to have disappeared from yesterday to today....

A Sunny Day Update!

I have been so bad about keeping up on the blog, but I have a very good excuse: I have no life. Seriously. My days consist of school; my nights consist of studying. Mondays & Wednesdays I work a few hours in the tech office at school and weekends are either studying or detoxing from school. Bobby's been working hard, and it's feast or famine lately at his job: either I don't see him all week due to overtime, or he's home all day.

We love to go for walks and spend time at the park, but as promised to me Oregon is wet, wet, wet. We just don't get out much since it's cold and muddy. So when the sun came out yesterday we had to celebrate by going to the park!

Can't wait til spring when we can feed the ducklings!

It was so nice to just get out. We've been trying to be more active and even went to the beach a couple weeks ago, but it was pouring rain and pretty miserable. We stopped at Tillamook Creamery since we LOVE their cheese, but it was a touristy disappointment. We did get to sample some fresh cheese though!

Oh - and we are horrible people who torture their dog:
