Stone Cold Patio

We've been busy bees this weekend!

In 2 short days this...

....became this:

And because we're, well, us - we did it the hard way properly by digging down and addng 4 inches rock, then 2 inches sand, then the stones.

I'm pretty useless digging, so I worked on the yard while Bobby dug. I'm pretty proud of my own work as well:

I pulled all the dandelions out by hand (because I am crazy)

Not too shabby considering when we bought this house the front looked like this:

Well, actually only the bush was there - I planted the hydrangeas too.

 So after digging Saturday, we picked up 3 loads of rock and sand and finished it off!

Ta-da!

We may be pretty darn sore, but we're happy with the results!
